Hello! We got the mail about the Show and Tell Gallery the other day, and my wife and I were inspired to build something more interesting with our sets. We're so pleased with what came out of it all that we had to share it with you!
Monorail Mania Inc.
Made from the following sets:
Action Factory Start Set, several Monorail Track sets, Construction World, Motorized Conveyor, one Monorail Switch, the RC Elevator with extra Extender Racks, Bridges and Roadways, several Wall sets, the Rokenbok Play Table, Building Value Pack, and Chutes and Hoppers II.
We wanted to build something interesting but stay within the confines of the Rokenbok Play Table. So, my wife's terrific idea was a two tier
monorail track.
To get from the bottom loop to the upper loop, push the Monorail Switch over, and ride the RC Elevator to the second floor. While the Elevator is in place the upper loop is complete. To get back down, ride the elevator, back over the Switch, flip the Switch, and the bottom loop is complete!
It's been parent built, and kid tested! Our kids love it! There's lots of ball action and the RC Monorail goes through several "tunnels".
They love that part! There's enough room for a monorail operator, and two vehicle operators. And the whole process loop
is interesting to do, but not so hard or so long that the kids get bored. (You don't have to ride the Elevator to complete the process
loop, but you can if you want). The trucks pickup from the Monorail, drive up ramps, deliver to a Conveyor which sorts to a monorail
feeder. Simple loop, but enough to do that the kids love to keep repeating it.
And there's still enough room to do some driving on the table top and on the ramps to the conveyor platform.
Thanks for making a terrific product!
